Gather all the required documents into a single folder before you go. Have documents ready to be scanned.

Print and complete the driver's license application or state ID application.

Use your principal residential address. Licenses and IDs will not be delivered to business addresses and cannot be forwarded.

If you are using a passport, make sure it's current.

- If you can't find your social security card, request a duplicate by applying at:
- If you need a copy of your birth or marriage certificate, get one from the Hawaii State Department of Health, Vital Records Ordering and Tracking,
- For divorce records, contact the Circuit Court in the county where the divorce was granted.
